JAMMU, Jan 20: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its State president Babu Hussain Malik.
He stated that the previous Government had failed to fulfill the commitments made with the employees from time to time thereby forcing the employees to come on the streets.
He demanded removal of pay anomalies/disparity of clerical cadre, release of pending 17 per cent DA at the earliest, increase of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1,000 per annum, formulation of policy for regularization of adhoc, daily rated workers and causal labourers.
Malik appealed to all the clerical cadre employees to come in a common platform to get the due rights and to take the struggle to its logical end.
He also appealed the Governor NN Vohra to personally intervene in the matter to do justice with the clerical cadre by removing the pay anomalies/disparity of the clerical cadre otherwise the employees will come on the streets to get their genuine rights.
Among others present were Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Javed Ahmad Akhoon, Bharat Bhushan, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Sewa Ram Rathore, Jaswant Singh, Meenakshi Sharma, etc.
