JAMMU, Jan 29: A deputation of Abrol Biradari Welfare Committee today met with president and executive officer of Municipal Committee (MC) Akhnoor Sanjay Saraf and briefed them regarding the attempt of encroachment/damages at their Kuldevi temple/Thakurdwara land at Jia Pota Akhnoor by some land grabbers.
The deputation apprised Sanjay Saraf that a criminal case has already been initiated against the encroachers after their previous attempt of encroachment and damages caused to the Kuldevi Temple/Thakurdwara land. Saraf was requested to initiate repair work and up-gradation of stairs at the damaged Temple.
The MC president gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured that no illegal encroachment/construction shall be permitted at Thakurdwara land. Later, he along with EO of MC and the Biradari deputation visited the Temple site at Jia Pota Akhnoor and took stock of the work done after damages caused to the Temple by the encroachers.
