Deputation of Channi residents calls on Commissioner JMC

JAMMU, Apr 3: A deputation of Channi Himmat Residents Association led by its president, Advocate V.K Grover called on Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Avny Lavasa and submitted her a memorandum containing demands.
The JMC Commissioner patiently listened to the grievances of Channi Himmat residents which included shortage of sanitation materials, encroachments, commercialization, scarcity of parking space, inadequate street lights, water supply problems, dilapidated roads etc.
Lavasa assured the deputation to issue appropriate instructions to the concerned sections of JMC to resolve the issues of Channi Himmat people within shortest possible time.
However, she said that the issues like commercialization and cancellation of allotted plots after the expiry of lease period pertains to J&K Housing Board.
The deputation comprised of Raj Kumar Gupta, P.S Mastana, B.M Gandotra, P.K Talwar, Ashok Rasgotra, Advocate Khem Raj Sharma and Mohan Gupta.
