JAMMU, Oct 16: Devs Kids World School, Kundorian, Katra today celebrated its 10th annual day function at The Spiritual Growth Centre, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Katra Auditorium.
Dr M Kumar, Additional Chief Executive Officer, SMVDSB was the chief guest. Thakur Kulbir Singh, SP Katra was guest of honour while Krishan Singh, Director Finance, was special guest on the occasion.
The function began with lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest in presence of the distinguished guests.
This was followed by welcome address by Meenakshi Mahajan. She also presented annual report of the school and highlighted the academic and athletic achievements of the year.
A colourful cultural programme was presented on the occasion. Besides, folk songs representing local culture and unity in diversity were also present.
Earlier, a fancy dress competition was also organized in which Anay, Tanish Padha, and Radhar Partap Singh were adjudged as 1st, Diva Wazir, Anvi, Madhav Sharma as 2nd and Hamani, Parchi and Kavya were adjudged 3rd.
Two senior citizens were also honoured by management committee of host school for rendering social services in the society.
Later, the chief guest gave away the prizes to the winners of different events. Besides, school management also presented mementos to the chief guest, guest of honour and special guests.
Anupam Sharma conducted the proceedings of the function while Sharda Devi presented vote of thanks.
