DFCO destroys unhygienic Momos

JAMMU, May 22: Drug & Food Control Organization (DFCO) today conducted surprise inspections of fast food vendors at Panjthirthi, CPO Chowk, Lakhdatha Bazar and Bakshi Nagar to check the quality of the Chinese foods viz Momos and destroyed about 1200 pieces of Momos during the drive.
The team inspected M/s Rakesh Fast Food, opposite Gali Hanuman, M/s SS Chinese Fast Food, M/s Kohli Fast Food Junction, M/s Palace Food Point Panjthirthi, M/s Malik Muslim Hotel, M/s Chineese Momo Fast Food, M/s Eat & Delicious Fast Food, M/s Momo Stall in front of M/s Jhatka Meat Shop, Bakshi Nagar.
During the drive, one  sample of  Momos has been  lifted for  checking its quality from Food Analyst, Jammu  and approximately  1200 pieces of Momos, 1kg Pakora, 1kg Chicken and 3 packets of Ajino Motto (MSG) were destroyed on spot as an abundant precaution.
The drive was conducted by a team of Food Safety officers Hans Raj Andotra, Jai Inder Singh, Ajay Khajuria and Dalep Singh headed by Sanjeev Kumar, designated officer, Jammu district.
