JAMMU, July 11: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DFSS) under the leadership of Ashok Gupta today took out a procession in Jammu city demanding resumption of the Amarnath Yatra which has been on a halt due to the unfavorable conditions in Kashmir.
“People await the Yatra for an entire year and when the Yatra is in the mood of religious fervor the circumstances in Kashmir are very unfortunate”, Gupta said while addressing the protesting workers.
He said the Hurriyat that has called for the 3-day bandh has been pushing the youth of Kashmir into dark tunnel of crime and unlawful activities as they want the youth of Kashmir to remain uneducated so that they can dance on the whims of the Hurriyat while their own children and relatives are studying abroad.
“The Amarnath Yatra has been tradition for several centuries and it should not be halted in any case”, Gupta said and demanded the authorities to make proper security arrangements for initiating the Yatra.
