JAMMU, Mar 4: An impressive function was organized to felicitate Sunny Nanda and other four speedball players of J&K State at Amar Singh Club, here today.
The function was organized by J&K Speedball Association and Pooja Malhotra, chairperson of TS Group of institution.
The speedball players who recently went to Kuwait for 27th World Speedball Championship were felicitated on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Indra Bhalla, vice- chairperson, Vijay Gupta, Member State Sports Council, Sanjeev Gupta, Director NCC, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Pooja Malhotra, Anil Nanda and Ronika Rathore.
Apart from Sunny Nanda, the other players felicitated on the occasion were Shrea Sharma, student of TS Sports Club, Amandeep Singh from JP World School, Samaksh Kumar from Army Public School, Akhnoor and Jasmeet Kour from Speedball Academy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aggarwal said that in the forthcoming World Games to be held in France, the Department of Youth Services and Sports would provide all the help in the promoting the game of speedball to its highest pinnacle.
