DG Sports inaugurates coaching camp for volleyball players

JAMMU, Dec 6: Director General (DG) Sports Naveen Aggarwal inaugurated the coaching camp for the selected 24 volleyball players at Youth Hostel Nagrota.
The selected under 14 volleyball players (boys and girls) are going to participate in the 59th National School Games to be hosted by Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with School Games Federation of India from December 19 to 23.
To refine the skills and to have good coordination among the 24 players comprising of 12 boys and 12 girls this coaching camp has been organised, which will be held under the guidance of Tariq Mohammad and Manik Nargotra in girls section and Neeraj Sharma and Amit Sharma in boys section.
While interacting with the players, DG said that sports is part of education besides characters and disciplines, it develops the leadership qualities.
Among others present were Ved Parkash, Deputy Director, Tirath Ram, DYSSO, Jaswant Singh, PEM, coaches and officials of the department.
The camp is being organsied under the guidance of Sher Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officer, Akhnoor.
