DG Sports reviews NSG arrangements, visits Khel Gaon

JAMMU, Dec 7: Director General Youth Services and Sports, Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman today reviewed the arrangements for 65th National School Games (NSG) in the discipline of Volleyball, while chairing a meeting of the officers and officials of the Department at Youth Hostel, Nagrota, here.
Apart from Joint Director Youth Services and Sports (Kashmir) and Assistant Director (Central), the conveners of various committees along with their members attended the meeting.
While serving directions to the heads of various committees, DG Sports informed that 34 State/ Union Territory teams from across the country will be taking part in this sporting extravaganza.
The conveners of various committees like Reception Committee, Ceremony Committee, Technical Committee, Boarding and Lodging Committee, Medical Committee and Transport Committee assured the Director General that elaborate arrangements have been made with regard to successful conduct of this mega event.
Soon after the meeting, the DG Sports along with the team of officers, convenors and the members of various committees visited Khel Gaon Nagrota, the venue of the Games.
There also the Director General took stock of the arrangements.
It is pertinent to mention here that Khel Gaon Nagrota is simply an asset in sports, which can hold a galaxy of sports events in its arena simultaneously.
