SAMBA, Feb 7: Director General Youth Services and Sports (DGYSS), Dr Saleem-Ul-Rehman inaugurated inter-district UT level Kho-Kho under-14 boys tournament at Rani Suchet Singh Sports Stadium, here today.
All the matches will be conducted on league-cum-knocks basis. The DG YSS inaugurated the matches in all four courts simultaneously by tossing the coin himself.
On opening day of the tournament, District Reasi defeated District Ramban by the margin of four points, whereas District Poonch trounced Kupwara with three points and District Baramulla got better of Reasi by the margin of one point.
The chief guest laid stress for the emotional national integration of the country for nation building during his address, whereas DYSSO Samba, Kiran Jyoti welcomed all the guests and participants of different districts.
