JAMMU, Dec 31: Director General of Police (DGP) Prisons Department S. K Mishra today released quarterly news letter of December edition.
Deputy Inspector General Prisons, Dr. M.S. Lone besides other officers and staff of J&K Prisons Department were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, DGP Prisons said that the department is making constant efforts to ensure that the inmates lodged in the prisons undergo meaningful sentence and are engaged in productive activities. He emphasized that the department intends to highlight its activities especially those related to reformation and rehabilitation through this news letter.
The DGP Prisons informed that an annual publication which will include articles by the prisoners and staff is also in the pipe line.
