SRINAGAR, July 14: With an aim to promote the merit and instill the spirit of competition among the wards of Police personnel, Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh has sanctioned meritorious scholarship of Rs 6.09 lakh in favour of 96 wards of serving police personnel.
He has also sanctioned DGPs special reward of rupees fifty thousand in favour of five police wards for qualifying different competitive examinations.
The meritorious scholarship has been sanctioned in favour of these wards for their performance in the annual examination of class 12th during the academic session 2020-21. The scholarship has been granted out of the Central Police Welfare Fund.
The Scholarship of Rs 7200 each has been granted in favour of 28 wards for securing above ninety percent marks and Rupees 6000 each has been sanctioned in favour of 68 wards who have secured eighty percent and above marks in the examination.
Besides, the DGP also sanctioned Special Reward of Rs 50000 in favour of five wards of serving police personnel for qualifying different competitive examinations during the year 2020-21.
Rupees 10000 each as special reward has been sanctioned in favour of Rayees Ashraf Bhat (BUMS), Aadil Rashid Wani (M Tech), Faizan Choudhary (BUMS), Tahir Farooze Aga (B V Sc &AH) and Miss Kudrat (MBBS).
