JAMMU, Mar 1: The Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain today sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 1.60 crore in favour of 160 police personnel of JKP, who are retiring from the services today on attaining superannuation or on voluntary retirement basis.
As per an order, Rs 1 lakh each would be sanctioned in favour of 8 gazetted officers, 117 non-gazetted officers, 24 lower subordinates and 11 followers. These personnel belong to different units and wings of the department.
The retirement gift sanctioned to the police personnel serve as a token of appreciation for their services rendered to the department.
Pertinently, the DGP sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 1 crore and sikh lakhs in favour of 106 police personnel of J&K Police who retired from the services last month.
