DGPC demands proper rectification in electoral polls

JAMMU, Mar 30: District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (DGPC), Jammu has appealed the Sikh voters to come forward for proper rectifications in the process for preparation of electoral rolls for District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu elections.
District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu office bearers along with other members of the Committee in a joint press conference in Jammu today, disclosed that process for preparation of electoral rolls has already been started and now previous notification has been revised on March 27.
They said as per this new revised notification, the last date for filling of claims & objections has been extended upto April 7, and last date for disposal of claims & objections has been extended upto April 13, 2021.
District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu disclosed that managers of District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu in all main Gurdwaras have been assigned to assist and guide the Sikh voters for smooth completion of this process. The Sikh voters can approach the concerned managers of their constituencies.
District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu has also written to concerned authorities for preparation of voter lists as per latest general voter lists with proper photographs.
Khalsa Sajna Diwas “Baisakhi” will be celebrated by organising a grand Gurmat Samagam on April 13, 2021 from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar, Jammu. It is appealed to devotees to take part in Baisakhi Samagam.
District Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee, Jammu office bearers & prominent members present in the press conference included Jathedar Mohinder Singh, S.Fateh Singh, S.Avtar Singh Khalsa, S. Manmohan Singh Khalsa, S. Ramnik Singh and Mohinder Singh from Akhnoor.
