DGPC organizing Baisakhi festival on Apr 13

JAMMU, Mar 28: District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) Jammu has resolved to celebrate Baisakhi festival on April 13 by organsing special function at Gurdwara Chand Nagar ( Lower Gumat) in Jammu.
Avtar Singh Khalsa, general secretary of the District Committee said that a decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the DGPC members held here today. He said that `Khalsa Sajna Divas’ – Baisakhi will be celebrated by the community on April 13 and a grand function will be held at Gurdwara Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Chand Nagar Jammu in which Head Granthi Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib Delhi, Bhai Ranjit Singh, Bhai Raj Singh, Hazoori Ragi Jatha Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar and others would participate.
It was also decided that Amrit Sanchar will be held on April 7 at Gurdwara Chhati Padshahi Tali Sahib, Talab Tilloo, Jammu from 10 am onwards and Gatka competition will be held on April 9 Sunday at Chand Nagar Gurdwara from 8 am onwards. The meeting was chaired by DGPC Jammu president Jagjit Singh and attended by several other members.
