Dhananjay creates history in World Bodybuilding Physique Sports C’ship

JAMMU, Dec 8: Ace skater turned Bodybuilder Dhananjay Singh Charak created history by making thrilling entry in top five finalists in the 8th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship held at Pattaya City in Thailand recently.
Fifty six Countries across the World participated in this Championship, wherein Dhananjay kept the National Flag high by being ranked 4th.
For this outstanding achievement, Dhananjay was honoured with a trophy and a certificate.
He became first player from Jammu and Kashmir in the history of Bodybuilding, who achieved this honour at the World arena.
It is pertinent to mention here that Dhananjay has the distinction of winning gold medals in National School Games and Junior and Senior National Skating Championships many a time and once clinched gold medal in Skating Road Race at Ahmedabad in Gujarat in National School Games, with such a timing that silver and bronze medalists were nowhere in picture when Dhananjay completed the race.
He has also represented India earlier in 49th Asian Bodybuilding Championship held at Tashkand in Uzbekistan in 2015.
For this outstanding achievement, Dhananjay received congratulations and good wishes from Politicians, Bureaucrats and sportspersons including Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, who also assured him all help for future events.
The star bodybuilder was given a warm welcome by Jammuites at Jammu Airport after returning from Thailand today.
Prominent among others who welcomed Dhananjay were Ravi Singh, Spots Officer J&K State Sports Council, Rajesh Dutta, General Secretary J&K Bodybuilding Association and Rajeev Charak, President Charak Biradari.
Dhananjay will be an inspiration for the budding sportspersons of Jammu and Kashmir.
