Dhoni given warm reception at Kargil

KARGIL, June 6: Indian cricket team Captain Lt Col (Hony) Mohinder Singh Dhoni was accorded warm reception by Army and civilians here today.
As Col Dhoni reached Kargil helipad, he was received by Commander of 121 Infantry brigade, Brig Shami Raj and other senior officers. He laid wreath at Kargil War Memorial and presented homage to the martyrs. He also interacted with the soldiers and some villagers of Kaksar and had tea there.
LAHDC, Kargil Councilor Tai Suru Aga Sayed Abbas Rizvi, presented ‘Khatak’ to the Indian cricket team captain on behalf of the people of Kargil and thanked him for visiting Kargil.
Mr Dhoni appreciated the sacrifices of the soldiers and the locals during the Kargil war. Mr Rizvi also lauded the gesture of Mr Dhoni for his visit to Kargil.
