JAMMU, Dec 31: President Jammu West Assembly Movement, Sunil Dimple held a meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand here today and submitted the memorandum to him and appealed him to forward the same to Chief Minister.
Dimple also submitted memorandum to the R&B Minister highlighting the traffic problems of the Jammu city.
In his meeting with the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Dimple expressed serious concern that the Government has not done any thing for the improvement of the traffic problem in the last 18 years and demanded immediate betterment of the traffic scenario in the Winter Capital.
Dimple told the Deputy Chief Minister that the last flyovers were constructed in 1994 during Governor’s rule 19 years earlier after that no steps were taken for the improvement of the traffic scenario.
The memorandum demanded Construction of the flyovers at Rehari Chungi, Jewal Chowk and the widening of the BC Road. These were the proposals, announced by the Government but none of them were implemented till date.
