Director reviews arrangements for preparing UT contingent for NYF

JAMMU, Dec 31: Director Youth Services and Sports, Gazanfar Ali reviewed the arrangements for selecting and preparing the UT contingent for the upcoming National Youth Festival (NYF)-2022 to be held at Puducherry from January 12 to 16 in a meeting held at his office chambers, here today.
The selection and preparation process for J&K contingent will take place at Zorawar Auditorium, University of Jammu from January 1 to 6, before the contingent is flagged off for the National Festival.
Director Sports said that various committees have been framed for smooth and successful conduct of the preparatory camp for UT of J&K contingent.
Earlier, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports (K), Bashir Ahmed also took stock of the arrangements virtually.
The Director while serving strict directions to the concerned officers and officials, said that the Principal Secretary to the Government YS&S, J&K, Alok Kumar is keen to see youth of the Union Territory flourish and is leaving no stone unturned in guiding and goading both the sports agencies of the Union Territory- DYSS and JKSC for taking initiatives with regard to channelizing the energy of youth in right direction to help them not to derail from the mainstream.
The conveners of various committees gave their feedback to the Director Sports regarding the arrival of district contingents, besides execution of their assignments.
The officers who attended the meeting included Jatinder Mishra, Deputy Director Jammu; Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu (Convener Ceremony Committee); Sunil Kumar, DYSSO Kathua (Convener Control Room); Jaffar Haider, DYSSO Doda (Registration Committee); Swarn Singh DYSSO Udhampur (Convener Boarding/Lodging); Sunil Singh Sambyal, DYSSO Rajouri (Convener Transport Committee), Khairati Lal, DYSSO Kishtwar (Convener Medical Committee); Mohammad Hussain Bhat, Accounts Officer Directorate (Convener Finance Committee) and Rajesh Dhar, PEL (Convener Press & Publicity).
