JAMMU, May 11: Amidst lockdown and full social distancing precautions a simple and small event was held at Military Hospital Jammu in presence of Commandant Brig KJ Singh.
In an effort to share social responsibility, the distinguished warrior of J&K turned journalist and Col Dr Virendra K Sahi, VrC who is also Director, J&K-Ladakh Chapter of the War Decorated India along with Maj Gen Sunita Kapoor, VSM both from J&K Ex Services league provided 200 PPE kits for use by frontline COVID-19 warriors.
The consignment was received by Col Sahai for Military Hospital Satwari, by Col AK Sharma for Ex-Services Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) and Sqn Ldr Prof Rakesh Sharma from Department of Community Medicine, GMC & H Jammu, Commandant Military Hospital.
General Kapoor and Col Dr Virendra Sahi exhorted all ex-servicemen fraternity and urged general public to abide by the restrictions imposed by the Government, stay indoors and join the fight against the menace of COVID-19.
“India will win, COVID will lose,” they said.
