JAMMU, Dec 16: Doon International School (DIS) Jammu celebrated its 6th Annual Day themed as Euphoria recognizing the unfathomable worth of the precious little moments of happiness, here today.
Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of School Education graced the occasion as the chief guest, while DS Mann , patron DIS chain and chairman DIS Dehradun enhanced the ambience with his esteemed presence as the special guest of the event.
The annual day function was successfully hosted by the chairman of the School GN Tantray, Vice chairman MA Tantray, Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur, Vice Principal Dr Sarita Moza Koul and Administrator Leesan Ul Nabi.
The School Principal welcomed the guests and rendered the annual report of the School highlighting the stupendous accomplishments of the students and the Institution during the tough two years of Covid-19 as well as the present year.
This was followed by the academic and endowment award felicitation by the chief guest and other dignitaries. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the entire program was scrupulously planned and executed by the entire DIS team which showcased the commendable magnificence of the School.
The cultural spectacle began with melodious welcome songs by the teachers followed by an orchestration symphony which was a mingling of vocal and instrumental consonance. The hit of the celebration was the finale performance of ‘Punjabi Bhangra’ magnetically gripping the audience in its dramatic presentation.
Chairman GN Tantray, Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur and vice chairman MA Tantray appreciated the exceptional venture of the entire staff and breathtaking performances of the students for making this celebration of happiness as ‘Euphoria 2022’ a memorable one.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Sarita Moza Koul. The program culminated with the melodious presentation of the School’s song followed by the national anthem.
The whole event was coordinated by the chief coordinators, Shivali Singh Pathania, Jasleen Kaur and Surinder Singh.
