JAMMU, May 4: Doon International School Jammu made a mark again in 14th National Educational Summit, organized by ‘Centre for Education Development Foundation’ in collaboration with ‘Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex’ after being conferred upon with the most coveted ‘Globally Acclaimed Institution’ award in recognition of providing quality education to the 21st century learners and implementing NEP 2020 and NCF in true spirit.
This education summit was organized in Raddison Blu, here where almost 200 educators across the nation took part attending incredibly enriching and enlightening sessions conducted by the distinguished Edustalwarts from across India.
Prof. CB Sharma, former Chairman NIOS and Director School of Education, IGNOU was the keynote speaker addressing the audience presenting his empowering insights into the details of NEP 2020 and NCF as well.
The other guest speakers were, Dr. Hrushikesh Senapaty, (former Director NCERT), Prof Renu Nanda (HOD of Education, University of Jammu) and Dr Shanker Goenka (Managing Director, WOW Factor).
Divisional Commissioner Jammu was the chief guest for the morning session, while Subah Mehta (Joint Director, School Education Department, Jammu) was the guest of honour.
Doon International School, Jammu added more feathers to its cap as the Principal of the School Dr Vikesh Kaur was adorned with the honour of ‘Education Legend of the Year’ award and ‘Most Popular School Leader Award’ in recognition of she being an inspirational leader who made a difference with her exceptional contributions in Education Industry especially in her own School.
In addition to this; 10 teachers along with the Vice Principal, Headmistress and Chief Coordinators of Doon International School, Jammu were appreciated with ‘Innovative School Educator Awards’ for their tireless endeavours.
Meenakshi Kilam, Rector Kathua Campus was the chief guest for the afternoon session. She presented the reputed awards to Doon International School educators, Principal and to the Institution for creating a stimulus environment leading to quality education for the 21st century learners.
Chairman of Doon International School G.N. Tantray congratulated the Principal, Dr Vikesh Kaur and all other teachers, Vice Principal, Headmistress and Chief Coordinators for excelling in the event.
