JAMMU, Sept 26:  In ‘Display Your Talent-2016-17’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu,  Mime, Mimicry and Mono-Acting competitions were conducted today.
In Mime, the first prize was won by GCW, Gandhi Nagar. Second prize was won by GDC Akhnoor and third prize was won by Trikuta College of Computer Science & Mgt  Studies.  Digvijay Singh, Jagdish Mehra and  Vijay Atri were the Judges and Dr  Deepika Salathia was the Teacher In-charge  of the event.
In Mimicry, Second Prize was secured by Pallavi Kanwar from GCW, Gandhi Nagar and Third prize went to Chaitanya Gupta from MIET. Certificates of Merit were given to Kannav Chopra from Govt  MAM College and Vikas from Department of History, JU. No one qualified for the First position in this event.  Sanjeev Gupta and  Manas Sharma were the Judges and Dr  Hema Gandotra was the Teacher In-charge of the event.
In Mono-Acting, Karan Mehra from Govt  MAM  College, Richa Sharma from GCW Gandhi Nagar and Kannav Chopra from Govt MAM College were declared First, Second and Third respectively.  Vijay Atri,  Digvijay Singh and Jagdish Mehra were the Judges.  Dr  Monika Narang was the Teacher In-charge of the event.
The events were coordinated by  Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). Hemant Magotra, Ambika Thusu, Sameeta Rana, Anjali Sharma, Kirti Sharma, Deepika Kanathia and Vernika Gupta did the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur.
On September 27, 2016, Classical Instrumental and Creative Dance events would be conducted at Brig  Rajinder Singh Auditorium, JU, from 10 am onwards.
