JAMMU, Sept 12: More distress calls are pouring in from the persons, whose family members are still trapped in flood ravaged Srinagar for the last six days.
Harish Kumar and Surinder Kumar, who were staying in Lee Grand Blue Hotel, Rajbagh, are missing and according to their father, who visited the Excelsior Officer, said that there was no contact with them.
Rakesh Dhar and Indu Raina (Dhar) with two little children, staying at Asthanpur near Baba Ghulam –ud-Din Asthan at upper area of Brain Nishat, are missing for the last one week. The person having any clue about these missing persons, may contact on mobile number 8803170425.
Avtar Krishan Bhat, Kusam Bhat and Rachna Bhat are trapped in Indira Nagar, Sector-B, opposite Park near Mandir, c/o G S Sodhi and there was no contact with them since the last Sunday. Any information regarding them may be conveyed at mobile number 9419507882 or 9018832491.
Devinder Singh from Indira Nagar, his wife Kulwant Kour and daughter Spinder Kour with 21-day old baby, are taking shelter at Sharma’s residence at Gupkar Road, near IB office. The family along with the Sharma couple, having two kids, are running short of food and baby feed. They need immediate help and the rescue team may contact on phone number 9469426797, 9797293515 or 9596190703.
According to one Jigar, his brother Dr Parth Amin, who is a Resident Doctor in SKIMS Medical College (ENT Deptt) is learnt to have been rescued to Ellahis Bagh Rescue Camp but there was no confirmation of the same.
Janak Raj Bhagat, a Government employee of JKPCC is stranded at Hotel Jhelum View Point in Rajbagh, Srinagar. He has no food for the last six days and is awaiting for the rescue team for help.
Similarly Shiban Bhat and Usha Bhat along with 30 people from Jammu, are trapped at Chandapora near Harwan.
According to Saurabh Sharma, his cousin namely Parveen Sharma (28), son of Ashok Kumar of village Maste Chak in tehsil Hiranagar of Kathua district, was stranded in a hotel in Rajbagh area of Srinagar. His whereabouts are still unknown as no communication was made with him.
One Raman has sought help to rescue his uncle Jit Raj, an employee of NIC, who along with 30 people, is stuck in Lala Rukh Hotel Lal Chowk. For establishing contact, Raman has given his mobile number 9717870214 as well as of his uncle; 9419114172. One Dheeraj has also posted the similar message for rescue of Jit Raj.
As per Subhash Parimo, his relative Sujeet Mattoo and the family is trapped in Flat number 19, ½ Magarmal Bagh, near DAV School. The trapped family with a 3 year old child, is without food and water.
Family members of Sahil Nisar are trapped in Pattan Baramulla but there was no information about them for the last five days.
Raj Kumar Raina has sought help to trace out his cousin Kewal Krishan Jad (48), who is working in Social Forest Corporation, Move Office of Director SFC at Srinagar. The mobile number of Kewal Krishan is 9469160451 while Raj Kumar can be contacted at 9419210013 or 9906906435.
Similarly, Surinder Kumar and Haresh Kumar are trapped at hotel Lee Grand Blue at Rajbagh. The mobile number of Surinder Kumar is 9419685169 while Haresh Kumar’s number is 9419203042.
According to Ramlal, one Mangal Dass is trapped at Batmaloo in Hotel Due Dargiling near Old Zero Bridge, Srinagar.
Pertinent to mention here that the Excelsior has launched a helpline on its website help@dailyexcelsior.com where a large number of people are posting details about their near and dear ones, who are still trapped in the flood waters in Srinagar.
