Distribution of ration, essential items continues

JAMMU, Apr 16: Distribution of ration and essential items among needy people continue in various parts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
District administration under the guidance of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode has started the preparation of ration kits for distribution among the needy across the district. In order to ensure that the kits reach the deserving beneficiaries, it has been decided that the kits would be distributed among the destitute identified by the PRIs and BDOs of all the blocks. District administration has engaged Nodal Officers for the distribution of essential commodities and monitoring of preparation and packing of the kits so as to cater to the needs of destitute and the migrant labourers. The administration has distributed 297 kits among deserving beneficiaries in various blocks of the district and 54 kits have been dispatched to Bhaderwah and Bhalla for further distribution. The administration will distribute 4000 ration kits among needy in the first phase of distribution.
Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha has provided free ration packs to 450 poor families in Old City, Channi Himmat and Talab Tillo areas in the presence of Former MLA Rajesh Gupta, SHO Police Station Channi Himmat Inspector Parvez Sajjad, Om Parkash Gupta, Sanjay Mahajan, Yash Pal Gupta, Vijay Gupta and Dharshan Gupta.
Management of Little Flower High School Akhnoor contributed 80 bags of flour with pulses to needy families under the supervision of Ajay Sharma SDPO Akhnoor, Amit Tehsildar Akhnoor, Inspector Pardeep Sharma SHO Akhnoor, Sham Singh Langeh Principal Little Flower High School Akhnoor, Rajinder Sharma President, Parveen Kumar, Raman Sharma, Shiv Sharma and Nirmal Kumar Members Management.
Rajan Gupta Social Activist and Senior Vice President of Shiv Sena Jammu distributed ration to the women of poor section of the society at his residence. Among others present were Rohit Gupta, Gulshan Sandra, Sagar Sharma and Sahil Singh Chib.
The Jammu team of “We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind” comprising Ajab Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Malkiyat Singh in coordination with Jammu District Police and Pooja Gupta, owner of Himalayan Bio Organic Private Limited distributed free ration to 35 families at Phallan Mandal Jammu and 40 families at Upper Beli Charana. Incharge Police Post Phallian Mandal Sub Inspector Anil Sharma and social activist Seema Parihar and were also present on the occasion.
A businessman namely Ram Pal Sharma, son of late Faqir Chand, a resident of Sector 1 Extension, Khoo Wali Gali Trikuta Nagar Jammu has sponsored 300 bags of wheat flour in connection with the distribution of dry ration to the poor and needy families residing under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahu Fort.
RSS Swayam Sevaks distributed relief material in the areas of Tommal, Manorma Vihar, Bohri Chungi, Laxmi Vihar and Jeevan Nagar. The RSS workers are also involved in providing face-masks, sanitisers and cleaning of hospitals and isolation centres, said RSS Mahanagar Sanghchalak Surinder Mohan Gupta.
Former MLA Devsar Mohammad Amin Bhat distributed sanitizers, masks, soaps and spray machines at many places in 4 blocks of Devar including Vessu, Devsar, Qazigund and Kund. He also distributed PPE kits to screening team at Tool Post Qazigund.
Beopar Mandal Udhampur team distributed ration in Dubduba Basti Jakheni in Ward Number 1 in presence of Councilor and other members of Beopar Mandal. President Jitendar Vermani was also present on the occasion.
