BARAMULLA, Dec 22: District Baramulla Table Tennis Championship concluded at Sopore, here today.
A total of 84 players including boys and girls from all over the District participated in the Championship in sub junior, junior and senior category.
In sub junior boys, Momin Ahmad beat Basharat Bashir (11-5, 11-7,11-9), while in girls,
?abish Manzoor beat Adfar Nabi (5-11,11-7,11-5,11-6)
In junior boys, Basit Manzoor beat Aamir Hamid by (11-6, 7-11, 6-11, 11-4, 5-11), while in
junior girls, Ayat Aziz beat ?abish (11-7,11-5,11-8).
In senior boys, Ìmdad Hussain drubbed Javaid Kashmiri (11-5, 4-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-8), WHILE In girls, Madras Kachroo got better of Bilges Nabi ( 5-11, 11-5, 11-4, 7-11, 11-6).
The matches were officiated by Bilal Ahmad and Javaid Ahmad.
Sadaf was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes among the position holders. The championship was conducted under the banner of J&K Table Tennis Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
