BUDGAM, Oct 30: District Budgam Wrestling Championship concluded at Sports Stadium Charar-e-Sharief, here today.
The Championship was organized by District Budgam Wrestling Association under the banner of JKWA and was sponsored by State Sports Council.
Sixty participants of different weight categories participated in the day-long event.
Zahoor Ahmed, Station House Officer Charar-e-Sharief (Budgam) was the chief guest on the closing ceremony of the Championship, who distributed prizes and certificates to the participating wrestlers and advised them to stay healthy by involving themselves in games and The bouts were officiated by Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary JKWA.
The event was organized under the overall supervision of Nazir Ahmed, President District Budgam Wrestling Association and Rakesh Khajuria, General Secretary JKWA.
Nazir Ahmed, AR Ahangar, President District Anantnag Wrestling Association were the guests of honour, while Sanjeev Kumar sharma, Billal and Aamir were the technical officials in the Championship.
Meanwhile the gold medals in different weight categories were bagged by Anjujal, Hashim, Mysir, Jahangeer, Ishfaq, John Mohd and Aayaz.
