KATHUA, Feb 13: Two days District Handball Championship in men and women began at Army Public School Janglot, here today.
The championship is being organized by the District Kathua Handball Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
Sunil Kumar, DYSO Kathua was the chief guest and Baljinder Pal Singh Manger Sports Stadium Kathua was the guest of honour at the opening ceremony.
The matches were officiated by Rakesh Kumar, Kulbhushan Singh and Priya.
The 1st match in boys section was played between Nagri Club and APS Junior in which Nagri Club defeated APS Junior by 10- 1 goals, while in the 2nd match in girl section was played between Blank Panther Club and Devil Handball Club in which Blank Panther Club defeated Devil Handball Club by 6- 4 goals.
The 3rd match in senior boys section was played between Kathua Warriors Club and APS Senior in which Kathua Warriors Club trounced APS Senior by 12- 5 goals.
