UDHAMPUR, Nov 10: The District Handball Championship has officially culminated, with teams from across the district showcasing their talent and determination. The event captivated fans with exciting matches, culminating in a thrilling final between Kargil Martyr’s Handball Club and BBSVP Handball Club.
The closing ceremony was graced by Balwant Singh Mankotia, MLA Chenani Ghordi, who was the chief guest. He lauded the efforts of the District Handball Association Udhampur for organizing the championship and encouraged the youth to engage in sports for both physical and mental well-being.
Prominent dignitaries gracing the event included Sumeet Sharma, President of Press Club Udhampur, alongside Arun Gupta, Arun Mehta, Ashish Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Sanjeev Magotra, Vinod Dogra, Bandna Sharma, Nitika Sharma and Som Dev Khajuria.
Kargil Martyr’s Handball Club triumphed in the final, narrowly defeating BBSVP Handball Club with a score of 23-22, securing the championship title. The matches were officiated by a technical panel of experts, including national players Pawan Jamwal, Ajit Kumar, Sanjay Sudan, and Soujanya Vaid.
