JAMMU, May 20: A quiz competition on general knowledge was organized in District Jail Udhampur under the guidance of Director General of Police, Prisons, SK Mishra, here.
The Jail inmates who have been enrolled in Adult Literacy centre have taken part in the Quiz. The Quiz was based on the knowledge about states of India and their capitals, Cabinet Ministers of India, Cabinet Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir State and Chief Ministers of different States.
The Quiz was organized with the help of the teachers who have been deployed in the District Jail namely Rajesh Sharma, Master and Ishtiaq Ahmed, Teacher under the overall supervision of Superintendent of District Jail Udhampur, Harish Kotwal who was the Chief Guest.
Six teams comprising of 2 Jail inmates participated in the quiz.
Lecturer Bodh Raj and Vinod Kumar Bhardwaj Teacher were the adjudicators.
Pritam Kumar and Imtiaz bagged 1st position, D Vikas and Sher Mohd won 2nd place, while Tilak Raj and Adil claimed 3rd position.
