JAMMU, May 19: Jammu District Taekwondo Championship concluded today at Kotli Bhawan Hall, Rehari here which is organized by District Jammu Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Association of J&K.
More than 120 players from different Schools/Clubs of Jammu participated in the championship with great zeal and enthusiasm.
In the valedictory function, Arun Khanna – Chairman (Public Health & Sanitation Committee-JMC) was chief guest, while Quimti Lal Jain (General Secretary – Taekwondo Association of J&K) was guest of honour and Pankaj Dutta (National Coach Powerlifting) and Tarsem Sharma (Gen. Secy. – Ju-Jitsu Association of J&K ) were special guests.
The chief guest congratulated the District Association for organizing the championship and providing a platform to the youth to channelize their energy towards sports. The championship was conducted under the vigilant supervision of Harsh Vardhan Raina-Secretary District Association.
Technical officials for the event were Geetansh Thakur, Bhavin Thakur, Raju, Hardik Gupta, Akshdeep Singh, Namika Mahajan, Manpreet Singh, Vansh Rathore, Pavneet Kour and Tanisha Kour.
Gold medals were won by Santushti, Mehreen Rouf, Sehajpreet, Loveleen Kaur, Himadri Rana, Angel Rawal, Urvi Dabgotra, Arya Kitroo, Shivangi Bhau, Sanjana Tickoo, Gungun Tickoo, Diljot Singh, Sarthak Chopra, Madhav, Hardik Gupta, Jaideep Singh, Dhruv, Divyam, Praful Singh, Jagjit Singh, Vansh Rathore, Akshara, Kumari, Pavneet Kaur, Daiwik Tickoo, Sparsh, Aniket, Harsimar, Sankait, Marsimar, Namika Mahajan, Tanisha Kaur, Kangana Manchanda, Akshdeep Singh and Vikalp.
Silver medals were secured by Manpreet Singh, Vivaan Mahajan, Aayush Langeh, Shiven, Rabjot, Navdeep, Pratham, Malhotra, Pariyal Jandial, Simran, Saksham Langeh, Surya Bali, Sushant, Piyush Bhatt, Ayushmann, Shaurya, Emerald, Atharv, Sharma, Ansham Sharma, Yashit Gupta, Anjali Charak, Rimjhim Khajuria, Yashvi Sharma, Shelija Koul, Avni Sharma, Paridhi Gandral, Rakshita Sharma, Ananya, Shivanya, Tejasvani Gupta, Aastik Chaudhary, Shinay Jolly and Aarham Mani.
