JAMMU, Aug 28: Inter School District Level Tournament for Under-19 boys and girls in the sports disciplines of Taekwondo for the year 2018-19 of District Jammu concluded at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
The competitions were organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General, Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director. Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu was the Organising Secretary of the tournament.
The main objective of the competitions was to select the teams of Jammu District for the Inter District Division Level Competitions.
In Taekwondo Under-19 boys, the winners in various categories included Syeed Mohd Arsh of KV Sunjwan, Amandeep of Aadarsh Niketan, Sushil Pandita of BN HSS Jammu, Ajay Kumar of Green Wood School, Aman Khajuria of Aadarsh Niketan Public School, Aftab Hussain Shah of KV Sunjwan, Puneet Krishan Tikkoo of GHSS Sunjwan, Altaf Hussain Shah of KV Sunjwan, Narayan Sharma of Mother India School, Mohit Thakur of KV Sunjwan, while in Taekwondo Under-19 girls the winners included Mansi Dubey of GGHSS Mubarak Mandi, Priya Sharma of GGHSS Shastri Nagar and Aksha Khokhar of Mother India School.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports.
