District Jammu Wushu C’ship culminates

JAMMU, Dec 3: The District Jammu Wushu Championship, organized by the District Jammu Wushu Association, culminated today. The championship, held under the expert supervision of Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo, saw strong participation from athletes across various schools and clubs.
The closing ceremony was attended by Narinder Singh Rana, MLA of South Jammu, as the chief guest, with Ajay Pal Gill, Inspector, and Nissar Ahmed Mir as guests of honour. Ramesh Prajapati attended as a special guest. During the ceremony, Vikas Gupta, Senior Journalist, was awarded the Best Sports Journalist Award in recognition of his contribution to sports media.
In the competition, Academy of Wushu (AOW) Jammu emerged as the Overall Winner, while Khelo India Wushu Centre Jammu secured the Runner-up Trophy and KNIIT Public School Jammu won the 2nd Runner-up Trophy.
Narinder Singh Rana, the chief guest, praised the efforts of the Jammu Wushu Association in promoting the sport and wished the players continued success. The event also saw the presence of notable figures like Kamal Kishore, International Wushu Player, and Vishali Majotra, Secretary of the District Jammu Wushu Association.
