KISHTWAR, Sept 15: The District Kishtwar Yogasana Sports Championship was held at BVM School, Kishtwar, under the banner of the Kishtwar Yogasana Sports Association, with the support of the J&K Yogasana Sports Association and the J&K Sports Council. The event saw participation from over 100 boys and girls across the Sub-Junior and Junior age groups, who demonstrated their skills and talent in various Yogasana categories.
The Championship concluded with an award ceremony, where the chief guest, Ramsevak, Principal of BVM School, distributed medals and merit certificates to the winners. He applauded the participants and encouraged them to take part in more sporting events in the future. The winners of this district-level championship will now proceed to compete in the upcoming UT level Yogasana Sports Championship, representing the district.
The winners of the championship were Ritesh Sen, Vinkal Kumar Bhagat and Ayush Kotwal in the Sub-Junior Boys (Traditional Event). In the Sub-Junior Boys (Artistic Event), the winners were Akash Kumar and Vishal Kumar. The Sub-Junior Girls (Traditional Event) winners were Ananya Bhagat, Tavishi and Saavi Surmal. The Junior Boys (Traditional Event) winners were Nandeesh Sharma and Ankit Sharma.
