District Level Multilingual Hussaini Mushaira held

KARGIL, Nov 23: Two Day District Level Multilingual Hussaini Mushaira was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Kargil, which was attended by 40 senior as well as novice poets representing Urdu, Balti, Purgi and Shina languages.
The poets fascinated the audiences with their poetic collections mostly aimed at rendering praise and paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Karbala, and reflecting upon the philosophy of martyrdom. The function was presided over by noted poet-writer Haji Muhammad Baqir, whileas Chief Education Officer Kargil Muhammad Ali Nowsheen was the guest of honor.
Poets who presented their poetic renderings included Akhone Asgar Ali Basharat, Ghulam Ahmed Khan Jawan, Akhone Safdar Ali Safdar, Bashir Ahmed Wafa, Gazanfar Ali Shahbaaz, Muhammad Asgar Asvi, Aga Syed Raza Razvi, Ghulam Murtaza Advocate, Tsewang Rigzin, Ashraf Ali Sagar, Muhammad Ali Khumar, Farooq Ahmad Noorie, Muhammad Hussain Rehnuma, Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Rahee, Haji Muhammad Baqir Baqir, Ghulam Qadir Zaki, Sibte Hassan Kaleem, Raza Amjad Badgami, Aga Syed  Raza Razvi, Tsewang Rigzin, Mukhtar Zahid, Muhammad Jawad Jalib, Muhammad Hussain Fayaaz, Muhammad Taqi Khan Nayaab, Muhammad Yaseen Ansari, Nassiruddin Khafee, Ghulam Murtaza Advocate, Zakir Hussain Karbalaiee, Muhammad Ali Nowsheen, Muhammad Ali Waziri, Nissar Hussain Nissar, Muhammad Ali Baba, Raza Amjad Badgami, Muhammad Shafi Sagar, Fida Hussain Wazir Fida, Muhammad Yaseen Ansari, Muhammad Hussain Olpa, Nassir Ali Sodhpa and Muhammad Abbass Behashti.
In his presidential remarks Haji Muhammad Baqir emphasized the need to follow the path and principles of Imam Hussain (AS) so as to bring virtue and morality in the present era which is faced with a lot of chaos and disorder.
Earlier in his welcome speech Muhammad Ali Tak Cultural Officer, Kargil presented overview of religious poetry in Kargil. He added that the Academy has always been keen to see these flourish and remain intact so that they are passed on the posterity in their true essence.
In the end, Nazir Hussain, Special Officer for Cultural Activities G-1 delivered the vote of thanks.
