District Level Open TT C’ship concludes

UDHAMPUR, Jan 30: The District Level Open Table Tennis Championship, organized by the Drugs and Food Control Organization Udhampur in collaboration with District Administration Udhampur under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan concluded at Subash Stadium, Udhampur.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai was the chief guest on the occasion. State Drug Controller Lotika Khajuria, Assistant Drug Controller Udhampur Sanjeev Gupta and a large number of students and sports enthusiasts attended the programme. The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from students in three categories Under 13, Under 17 and above 17 years.
Adhira Singh, Smriti Suchandra, Kajal, Aditya Sharma, Ujjwal Verma and Sourav Sharma emerged as winners in their respective categories, while Devi Shriya, Pooja Devi, Ishika Gogna, Aryaman Sharma, Kanav Gupta and Madhav Sharma secured second positions.
DC congratulated the Drugs and Food Control Organization for organizing the event and emphasized the crucial role of sports in fostering physical and mental well-being. She highlighted that sports not only helps in personal development but also act as a powerful medium to channelize energy in the right direction.
She also urged them to become ambassadors in the fight against drug abuse and spread awareness about the ill effects of substance abuse. Among the dignitaries present were Archana Mujoo, ADC Headquarters Jammu, Sanjay Bhat, Drug Control Officer Manufacturer, Imitiaz Malla, DCO Ramban, Narinder Singh, DCO Ramnagar, Amit Mahajan, DCO Jammu, Bhavana Bhat, DCO Jammu, Surinder Mohan Tikko, Registrar J&K Pharmacy Council, Sanjay Sharma, President Chemist Association, and several prominent chemist dealers.
