JAMMU, Dec 13: Under the patronage of Director School Education, Jammu, Tushar Kanti Sharma, a district level symposium on the topic ‘Advantages/benefits of Right to Education Act’ was held at Boys Higher Secondary School Poonch.
Student drawn from all the Government Higher Secondary Schools of District Poonch participated and presented their point of views on the topic.
Mumtaz Ahmed Chowdary, Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch was the chief guest on the occasion, while Abdul Hamid Fani, CEO Poonch presided over the function. Those who spoke on the occasion included KK Kapoor, Ex-Dy CEO and BS Azad Retd DEPO.
Speaking on the occasion, AH Fani elaborated the importance of Right to Education Act.
Those present on the occasion included NM Suri DEPO, Vijay Puri HoD, Balwant Singh HOD, Riaz Mir Principal GHSS Poonch, ML Sharma HSS (B) Poonch, staff members of HSS (B) Poonch and students of various schools of District Poonch.
Manak Sharma of HSS (B) Poonch, Syed Arzoo Kazri HS (G) Poonch and Mohd Irfan HSS (B) Poonch secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position in the symposium respectively.
