JAMMU, Nov 5: Under Civic Action Programme (CAP), District Police Doda organized a wrestling competition at Chalnai Bhalla Bhaderwah, here.
19 bouts were held during the competition, in which wrestlers from District Reasi, Kathua, Udhampur as well as from Punjab took part.
The final bout took place between Yaseen of Mallair Kotla Punjab and Tariq of Gandoh Doda. Yaseen won the bout and was awarded with cash reward and a shawl. All the wrestlers who took part in the event were awarded with cash prizes.
Mohammad Arif Rishu, Superintendent of Police Doda was the chief guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by Roop Raj Additional SP Bhaderwah and SHO P/S Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Arif Rishu Superintendent of Police Doda urged the gathering to maintain peace and harmony and help Police in eradicating the crime/social evils especially, drug menace from the society.
