JAMMU, Dec 1: Continuing with the mission of J&K Police to provide platform to talented youth of the State for displaying of their talents and channelizing their energy in a positive manner, District Police Kupwara organized a Cricket Tournament at District Sports Stadium here under Civic Action Programme.
32 cricket teams drawn from different parts of the district are participating in the tournament.
The tournament was today declared open by SSP Kupwara, Shamsheer Hussain.
While speaking on the occasion, SSP Kupwara underscored the objectives of organizing such programmes. He said that endeavour of J&K Police is to provide platform to the talented youth of this frontier district who have great potential in different sports activities.
He also exhorted upon the players to exhibit the spirit of true sportsmanship and maintain discipline during the tournament.
