RAJOURI, June 18: As a part of Police Raising Day Celebrations, District Police Rajouri today organized a symposium on “Abuses of Drug Addiction in New Generation “at Government Degree College Rajouri, in which students of different colleges and schools of the district participated.
On this occasion, 17 students spoke on the topic and highlighted the various abuses of drugs in the society. Umabia Saleem of Panorama Public School, Sania Sabar of HEM College Rajouri and Alia Iqbal of HEM College Rajouri bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd prize, respectively and were given mementos, certificates and cash prizes.
The jury members were comprised of Prof Asad Ullah Khan, Prof Mohd Iqbal Raina and Prof Shabnam Malik.
Dr JA Qazi, principal, GDC Rajouri, was the chief guest, who distributed cash prizes and certificates to the winners and other participating students.
Vice-principal of the College, SP Rajouri, Mubassir Latifi, Addl SP Rajouri, Deputy SP Hqrs Rajouri, Deputy SP Ops Rajouri, SHO Police Station, Rajouri and prominent citizens of Rajouri also attended the programme.
