SAMBA, Feb 28: Continuing Jammu and Kashmir Police’s endeavour to strengthen police-public relation and promote sports activities among the youth, District Police Samba is being organizing Sports Mela, under Civic Action Programme at Kehli Mandi ground, here.
Football, Badminton and Kabaddi Tournaments are being held during the Mela.
The Meal was declared open by the chief guest RK Verma, Deputy Commissioner Samba.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Verma said that the objective of the activities held under Civic Action Programme is to create awareness among the youth about eradication of social evils. He stressed upon the organizers to provide ample opportunity to youth as they are the future of the nation.
Suram Singh, Additional SP Samba presented welcome address, while prominent among others present on the occasion were Vijay Pal Singh, DySO HQ SAMBA, Suresh Kumar, DySP DAR DPL Samba, Inspector Bharat Sharrma, SHO Samba and the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Samba.
