POONCH, Feb 27: The two day District Poonch Tennis Ball Cricket Championship concluded today at Govt High School, Chajjala, Mendhar, here.
Twelve teams participated in the Championship and Khan Club emerged as District Poonch Champion, after defeating Mankote Cricket Cub in the final.
Mandate Club after winning the toss decided to bat first and set a fighting target of 55 runs in the allotted 8 overs. Amjad scored 22 runs, while Bashir contributed 20 runs. Shabir chipped in with 8 runs.
In reply, Khan Club chased the target in 7.3 overs. Mustafa was the top scorer with 26 runs, while Waseem contributed 14 and Rican chipped in with 10 runs. Mustafa was declared as the man of the match. Rahim Dad, Ex MLC Mendhar was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away prizes to winners and runners-up teams.
