JAMMU, Aug 29: Two day Jammu District Power Lifting and Deadlift Championship unequipped and equipped in sub junior, junior, senior and master (Men & Women), organised by Jammu District Power Lifting Association, concluded at Indoor Stadium Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
The championship was organized under the aegis JK UT Powerlifting Association and J&K Sports Council.
Dr. Narinder Singh national secretary BJP was the chief guest on the occasion while Daleep Kumar, BDC Chairman Miran Sahib, Ravi Kant, Senior Superintendent of Police Jammu was the special guests who distributed prizes among the winner and runner up players.
In Powerlifting championship, Amandeep Bassan and Amita Devi won best lifter in senior unequipped, while Amandeep Bhasan and Heena Nazwon best lifter in senior equipped, Samreen Kour, Shivani Lanegh, Sourav Bali, Adnan Choudhary, Ruhjit Singh, Chetan Dogra, Shalinder Charak, Uttam Rana and Umesh Raina won best lifter in junior, sub-junior, Master-I and Master-II equipped and unequipped Powerlifting Championship. In Deadlift championship Udhay Sharma, Sourav Bali, Jagdev Singh, Nitin Kumar, Arif Ahmed, Simran, Vanshika Verma and Diksha Kapoor, secured best lifter in sub junior, junior and senior unequipped and equipped category respectively.
Around 185 players participated in this championship.
The officials of the Association who organized the championship were Ajay Sharma, Rahul Sawhney, Gulzar Singh, Vikram Singh, Adil Ashraf Khan, Deepak Jyoti, Sanjeev Singh, Vinay Sharma and others.
Kajal Mehta, Yatisksha Raj, Heena Naz, Diksha Kapoor, Amita Devi, Vashika Verma, Chakshu, Tanvi Sharma, Muskaan Bakshi, Shivan Langeh, Sonali Bhagat, Samreen Kour, Abida Khan, Simran, Avni Gupta, Diksha Sharma and Anchal Talla won Gold medals in women category, while Chakshu, Jaspreet Kour, Meenu Kalotra won Silver medals.
In men category, Sant Kumar, Jaiyesh Khajuria, Aman Bavoria, Diyanshu Singh, Uday Sharma, Gurbaksh Singh, Chetan Dogra, Nitin Sharna, Rohit Singh, Vikas Mehra, Zahoor Ahmed, Rujit Singh, Shubam Kalotra, Aryan Sharma, Rohit Kalotra, Reheen Choudhary, Piyush Amla, Jagdev Singh, Shiv Darshan Singh, Adrit Charak, Pankush Kumar, Harsh Sambyal, Rajnish Singh Chib, Om Dutt, Harshiv Verma, Nitin Kumar, Rasam Gourav, Rohit Kumar, Arif Ahmed, Adnan Choudhary, Zeshan Khan, Pratham, Kartikesh, Shubam Kumar, Ankush Chib, Parveen Kumar, Shivek Kohli, Harshvardan Singh, Kunal Verma, Mohd Ibrar, Sourav Bali, Arjun Manhas, Amandeep Bhasan, Shalinder Charak, Umesh Rana, Uttan Rana, Rajan Bhardwaj, Ang Dev. Vishal Singh, Rahul, Piyush Sharma, Shaksham Singh, Sairab Alam Bhat, Aakash Dutt and Manpreet Singh won Gold medals.
The silver medals were secured by Ashutosh Sharma, Sourav Kumar, Vansh Dogra, Vedansh partap, Gurbaksh Singh, Tanishk Rajput, Rakesh Kumar, Saqib Saddar, Aman Sajwal, Hardeep Singh, Amit Sotra, Gourav Jaral, Saksham Sharma, Ankush Mahajan, Aman Singh, Ankush Singh, Rasam Gourav, Kartik Jalotra, Puneet Kumar, Rahul Saini, Sarthak Dubey, Ashish Sharma, Ankit Sharma, Karun Dev Singh, Puneet Jain, Suraj Pandit, Partham, AArav Sharma, Raghav Khajuria, Sardar Ali Asgar, Amrik Singh, Mohit Kumar and Vishal Sharma, besides Bronze medals were clinched by Ashray Sharma, Tanishk Rajput, Ashish Goria, Danish Kalotra, Rahul Sharma, Shreyansh Rai, Ishan Khan, Vishal Choudhary, Sudhansu Dudwal, Raj Sharma, Ashish Singh, Satyam Gupta, Kirpal Singh and Sahil Sharma.
