SAMBA, Nov 9: The Taekwondo Association of District Samba is set to host the District Samba Taekwondo Championship 2024-25, under the guidance of the J&K Taekwondo Association and J&K Sports Council, from November 12 to 13, at the Indoor Sports Stadium in Samba.
The championship is open to Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior players across District Samba, with medalists earning eligibility to represent the district at the upcoming 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25.
In adherence to competition guidelines, athletes must possess a valid JKTA Athlete License, with no entries accepted without it. Senior athletes are additionally required to present Black Belt Certificates as mandated by the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
The event details were confirmed in a meeting led by President of the Taekwondo Association of District Samba. Participants must report to the Indoor Sports Stadium on November 11, at 5:00 pm for the weigh-in, bringing completed registration forms signed by parents, along with birth certificates issued by the Municipality Samba or the village’s Sarpanch.
