JAMMU, Oct 21: District Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Championship, organized by Shito Ryu Seiko Kai Karate Do Association Jammu and Kashmir in the memory of Sher-e-Duggar Pandit Prem Nath Dogra on his 132nd birth anniversary, concluded here today.
Around 200 players from different schools participated in the event.
On the valedictory function, Ashok Khajuria, MLC BJP was the chief guest, who distributed medals among the winners in presence of Shaminder Kumar, Retd Station Director and Mahatma Tilak, who were the guests of honour. Govind Sarin and Mohan Singh Rana were also present on the occasion as special guests.
The players fought bouts in different categories and won gold, silver and bronze medals in their respective categories.
The gold medal winners in their respective categories were Anjan Chopra, Stanzin Angmo, Ishmeet Singh, Vardaan Singh, Sneha Dhar, Anjali Sharma, Ravneet Kour, Sahil Kumar, Devansh S. Kumar, Vansh Dogra, Nityam Sharma, Satya Vardhan Singh, Shatrudaman Singh, Mujataba-ul-Hassan, Abhishek Mehra, Divyansh Raina, Tavnoor Kour, Chetan Salaria, Suryansh Salaria, Aarush Puri, Sonu Chauhan, Bhuvan Vasudev, Sourav Mehra, Piyush Bhardwaj, Aman Kumar.
The bouts were conducted under the technical supervision of Umesh Rekhi, and other officials were Tushar Jandial, Ashwani Kumar, Anup Singh, Deepa Sharma, Sahil Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Sahil Sambyal, Vishal Singh, Shivam Mahajan.
Tarun Sharma, 3rd Dan Black Belt was the organizing secretary of the tournament.
