SRINAGAR, Jan 3: District Srinagar Carrom Champion-ship, organized by District Srinagar Carrom Association concluded at Institute of Hotel Manage-ment, Raj Bagh, here today.
The Championship was sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Mushtaq Ahmad, Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Kashmir was the chief guest on the valedictory function. He was accompanied by Firdous Ahmad Khan, sr vice president of the Association, Mr Kuldeep, SHO Raj Bagh, Mudasir Khan, organising secretary, Arif Khan, general secretary of the Association , Reyaz Khan and Adil Rashid Shah.
The chief guest along with other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and the runners-up teams.
In sub junior boys section, the 1st place went to Umair, 2nd place was bagged by Numan Mushtaq and the 3rd place was claimed by Sajid Bhat, while in sub junior girls section, the 1st place was bagged by Sabreena Firdous, 2nd place went to Khushboo Firdous and the 3rd place was clinched by Aisha Parveen.
In junior boys section, the 1st place was claimed by Waseem Bashir, 2nd by Danish Bashir and the 3rd place went to Waseem Yousuf, while in junior girls section, the 1st, second and third places went to Asra Shafi, Uzma Rashid and Anjum Alam respectively, while in senior boys section, 1st place was bagged by Fazil Fayaz, 2nd place went to Waseem Bashir and the 3rd by Mohmmad Yaqoob and in senior girls section, 1st place was clinched by Adfar Jan, 2nd place was bagged by Abida Mehraj and the 3rd place went to Safiya Showket.
