SRINAGAR, Sept 28: The District Srinagar Cycling Championship 2024 concluded today, organized by the District Srinagar Cycling Association at Duck Park, featuring various age group categories. In the Senior Men’s Road Cycling event, Adil Altaf took first place, followed by Bahjat Nawaz in second, and Ali Reshi in third. In the Junior Boys Road Cycling event, Amaan Kalla, Adeel Badami, and Mohd Mursaleen, all from Kashmir Harward, secured the top three positions.
For the Senior Men’s MTB (Mountain Bike) category, Shoaib Shabir from Legend School clinched first place, with Faizan Manzoor and Saqib Latief finishing second and third, respectively. In the Junior Boys MTB category, the top positions were claimed by Atif Fayaz, Fariq Rafiq, and Mubashir, while in the Youth Boys category, Shoaib Tariq, Arhaam Khan, and Mohammad Ibrahim secured first, second and third places.
In the Women’s Road Cycling event, Yumnna Parveez claimed victory, with Farah Ahmad and Aisha Mushtaq finishing second and third, respectively. The Veteran category saw Faheem Ali Punjabi in first place, followed by Dr. Sheikh Tariq in second, and Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat in third.
The event was supervised by the J&K Cycling Association and the J&K State Sports Council. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners by Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Vice President of JKCA, who was also the chief guest.
