KARGIL, Nov 6: The 12th District Kargil Taekwondo Championship concluded at Indoor Stadium, here today.
About 10 clubs with 150 players participated in the district championship.
Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah, general secretary District Association was the chief guest, while Activities Officer DYSSO Kargil, Mohd Yousuf and Anayat Ali general secretary Ladakh Taekwondo Association were the guests of honour and Headmaster Govt Model Middle School Biathang School, Shamma Kazimi was the special guest.
Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah said that the sport has a great opportunity as a sector and our players can have a better and bright future if they focus on their respective game. Mohammad Yousuf assured all possible help by the department during any event organised by the Kargil Taekwondo Association.
The chief guest handed over the equipment donated by Korean Cultural Centre New Delhi Ladakh Taekwondo Association.
Later, the chief guest and other guests distributed medals and mementoes among the players, officials and guests.
