BUDGAM, Dec 22: District Taekwondo Championships-2020, organized by District Budgam Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA), concluded, here today.
Around all Zones including 10 Clubs from District Budgam participated in the event. The championship was conducted under the supervision of Syed Ashaq Hussain (joint secretary JKTA).
Malik of Sports Academy of Martial Arts lifted the trophy while Power Punch Martial Art Academy and Alamdar Sports Club shared 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
The selected district team will participate in the upcoming Association Taekwondo Cup which is scheduled to be held at Jammu.
Mohammed Altaf, Manager Sports Stadium Budgam was the chief guest, whereas Nissar Hussain vice-president of the Association was the guest of honour.
While speaking on the occasion, Altaf said that he was surprised to see the young talent of Budgam district and also assured all possible help from J&K Sports Council for the upliftment of the sports. Farooq Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed and Shenaz were among the technical panel.
DN Pangotra president JKTA and Jagjit Singh also graced the closing ceremony.
