District Taekwondo C’ship held

KISHTWAR, June 17: District Taekwondo Association today organized its District Championship in Kishtwar, in which about 100 students of different clubs and schools participated.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP), Kishtwar, Sajad Khan was the chief guest on this occasion, while Javed Ahmed from Youth Services & Sports, Kishtwar was the presiding officer.
About 29 gold medals were given to winners in different categories of the Taekwondo Championship. All medalists have been selected to represent District Kishtwar at State and Union Territory Level Competitions in coming months.
The event was organized under the supervision of Sachin Kumar and Mukesh Thakur. The other dignitaries who were present there were Advocate, Anjali Gulati, Neeraj Parihar and Arvinder Singh. The best official award was given to Pradyuman.
Chief guest, Sajjad Khan gave away the prizes to Aditya Sharma who was adjudged best fighter in male and Vaishali Sen was given best fighter female award.
